Wonderful Winter Wedding Proposal Ideas
Winter is a magical time to ask the love of your life for her hand in marriage. The winter months offer lots of opportunities and venues in which to orchestrate and deliver a beautiful and memorable wedding proposal. Those who live in areas where snow is abundant and plentiful will find it easier to plan the date and time of popping the question if their desire is to propose outdoors. Those who live in areas where snow is scarce or minimal, may want to surprise their sweetheart with a northern jaunt.
Ski chalets, ice skating rinks, Christmas tree lighting festivals, Rockefeller Center, and horse drawn carriages through Central Park are all great ideas of venues for proposing. Other beautiful areas would be forests, Christmas tree farms, barns, mountain resorts, lakes and any other places that become enchanted when blanketed with snow.
If your desire is to propose indoors, you can still create a romantic and charming winter vignette. Hang strings of mini white lights in the room of your choice. Scour discount stores for inexpensive decorations and ornaments such as icicles, snowflakes, snow covered branches, and other wintery items that can be used to create an enchanting indoor winter wonderland. Fill a circular glass vase with pure white jelly beans or marshmallows and white painted branches to replicate a snowy winter tree. Attach silver foiled Hershey’s kisses to the branches as mini ornaments. Attach her engagement ring to one of the kisses and ask her for a kiss!
If your dream is to propose outside, you can draw “stepping stone” hearts in the snow to lead her to an area that you’ve prepared with flickering votives and a white coconut cupcake with her ring placed in the frosting. Don’t forget to have white hot chocolate with whipped cream nearby to sip as you relish this special time.
