Rebel flag tattoos have been popular for a long time now. You will find that a lot of people that have a rebel flag tattoo have it done because of their southern heritage. To most people having one of these tattoos done is the greatest way in showing pride in where they came from.
When you hear of someone talking about the rebel flag tattoo nowadays, they are more than likely referring to the square battle flag. This battle flag was specifically designed in this way because the “stars and bars” are so similar to the “stars and stripes” of the USA flag.
Other flags such as the State regimental colors were used by the Confederacy on the battlefield. The battle flag was never officially recognized by the confederate government, but is still became widely known by the public as the public as the southern cause.
These “unofficial” rebel flag tattoos are becoming more and more popular over the years. Increasingly amounts of people are showing their southern heritage by getting one of these tattoos done. This is especially true since the Hollywood movie “Dukes of Hazard” was released a few years ago, and had a rebel flag on the top of their car!
