Easter Egg

Easter Egg Candy
Easter is one of those religious holidays that a lot of people could really get into without even being part of the religion that celebrates it. For those of you who are hazy on the details, Easter celebrates the Christ rising from the grave after being deceased for two days (many say that he is dead for three, but since he died on a Friday and rose again on a Sunday, he would technically be dead for only two days, so there). As part of the celebration, there will be the use of such powerful iconography like the Easter bunny and, my personal favorite, the Easter eggs; both of them are somehow linked to the idea of new life or perpetual life, though it must be said that these symbols are more pagan than Catholic and the Catholic Easter celebration has nothing to do with bunnies and eggs – but everyone seems to favor the iconography anyway. That being said, Easter is all about the celebration of life – new or otherwise.
Easter eggs are the treats of the season, and while it used to be that they were made from real chicken eggs (only boiled and painted), the Easter eggs of today can be called real treats in the sense that they are now, as dictated by new custom, filled with or made of sweets. For those who like the thrill of the easter egg hunt, there are plastic eggs that serve as containers for any confection imaginable (though the more fun options are currently gummy worms or jelly beans. Those who don’t have the space for a hunt could simply make and serve candy Easter eggs – preferably, they would be made entirely out of chocolate, but they can simply be chocolate-covered with different fillings.
There are many ways to celebrate Easter – whatever this holiday may mean to you. Evidently, however, the best way is through some Easter treats. For more information On Candy Easter Eggs visit, http://candyeastereggs.com
